HC I made sure to do the absentee while I’m away from home?
HC I went out w/ the Urban League to do voter reg. In September?
HC this one lady made us shake our heads?
HC she was in her fifties?
HC when we asked her had she registered, she said, “No”?
HC one of us said it was important?
HC her reply was “in all my years, I ain’t never voted, don’t want to vote, and ain’t gon’ vote”?
HC folks fought too hard to get us this privilege and some folks just don’t care?
HC we expected responses like that from people in their 20’s & 30’s, but not someone in her 50’s?
HC it was a damn shame?
