Ooooh, this popsicle is finally back. It's pouring and cold and I went and stood in line for 35 minutes.(Thank God my in-laws kept the baby.) I couldn't figure out why the line was poking along and someone said that all the senior citizens were having issues with the touch screen voting. (Although I heard a departing woman scream to her friend in line, "You can do it, Mabel! It's just like your microwave!")
It only took me 2 minutes to vote my split ticket. Then I helped a friend wrestle a giant wheelchair across the muddy ground and into her car, which was being blocked by some truck. Why do normal events always end up as adventures for me? Now I'm finally warm and dry in front of the computer with a hot drink...ahhh...God bless the USA!
