I think all of the different rules/traditions with guards and dangles is really interesting.
When I was a collegiate I don't think anyone had a chapter guard, just their badge. (Why would they, we all knew what chapter we were in
). But the exec board officers had officer guards (instead of dangles). Every spring at our officer installation the guards are passed down to the next person to take that office. I love that tradition, especially since my big got to pass the guard on to me, and I got to pass it on to my grand-lil'!
