I have not read through all the posts... So forgive me if this is a repeat...
Two words...... Speed Skates...
Roller Skating was big in Virginia Beach in the early 80s!!!!!!!! And if you were cool you had speed skates, they looked like black sneakers with white racing strips and cool special wheels.... And if you were really cool you could do fancy line skating...
Yes indeed... loved late grammer school.
