I'm sure that it is a clue to throw her off....I did something like that with my little from this semesters pledge class. I knew that she wanted me as her big and I continued to tell her over and over again that I was not taking a little. However, my name was still on the list of bigs...hmmmm
So anyways....I didn't want her to know right away that it was me so I made her a sign in the house that said that I drive a black car (I really drive a white one....unless I actually do drive my dad's black truck), I hate to exercise (which is somewhat true but I play sports all the time), and my hair is changeable (because it can be curly and straight whenever I want and she had never seen it straight before). It worked and it completely threw her off! She was thrilled that I was her big!
Just a thought from my personal experience. I didn't get my first, second, or third choices for my big. I actually don't remember if I even had my big on my list, but she was a great big and I am glad that I am her little. She is an Alumnae now but we still talk every so often to keep each other informed on what is going on with our lives. Your friend, I'm sure, will be happy with whomever she gets as a big.
