Actually, our Section Chair, who has already visited the
campus, is a Centre alum, and was involved with the
decision to use "Pillar" instead of "Pledge" (at least he
was an active APO at the time)
I'm not sure, but I think that was a decision of the APO's,
not the admin....but I hear that recently they've started
using the word "Pledge." Would have to ask a Centre
APO.
It is probably best for our campus if we start off as "non-social"
as possible...perhaps over the next few years, as students
"get used" to APO being on campus, no one will care what
terminology APO uses.
