I knew a girl like this. She would steal anything if it wasn't nailed down, even stupid things like pencils and such, and when she wasn't stealing, she was lying about it. If I was in your situation, I would try to get rid of her now, as it might be easier now then later, and when things are worse and she knows where you hide all of your stuff. If you confront her, it probably won't do much good, she'll probably lie about it.
If you don't manage to get her out, then get locks and document when things are taken/missing etc... call the police if she doesn't stop the stealing.
