as far as sigma kappa is concerned, we also sign our code of conduct which basicallly states that when we wear our letters we are representing out sorority and must act appropriately. essentially no drinking or illegal activities of any sort while wearing letters. not even earrings or a ring that says our letters.
my chapter had serious issues with that when i was pledging. one of our underage pledges was caught drinking uptown and having some dude feeling her up under her sigkap t-shirt. another time a sister was smoking weed while wearing our letters. both sisters were brought before standards committee.
my sisters freaked on night when we all went out to eat and i had an alcoholic beverage while wearing our letters. literally, the whole table stopped and looked at me. i had to step away from the drink in fear that i would be beaten if i drank anymore. (not really, i'm just being sarcastic, but i did have to stop drinking)
