"Apres Moi, le Deluge" is French for "After me, the Flood!!"
He was referencing THE FLOOD.....like the 40 days, 40 nights flood that Noah faced in the Bible. The same flood that wiped out the entire earth and its population.
Like ClassyLady said, he was trying to communicate to his kingdom that after he left the throne there would be nothing left to look forward to but problems and that France would be overwhelmed without him to lead them....they might as well cease to exist.
Now of course, that's not what I said to her.... but that's how I was feeling. A little cocky of me to think that...but ya'll know how you're feeling when a relationship ends. We all feel like " I was the best she ever had! She ain't neva gonna find another like me!" Heh heh
Anyway....I digress.....where was I?
