Congratulations Sigmagrrl!

I'm the national editor for my GLO (all of our National positions are volunteer).

I can tell you, you will have a lot of hard but rewarding work to look forward to.

The most frustrating thing for me is trying to get members to communicate back to you... your GLO means so much to, especially when you are that involved, and sometimes it can be like pulling teeth to get people to submit info in a timely manner.

But I have had several opportunities (in my short year as the editor) to travel, meet other chapters and members and learn so much more about our national organization!

It's exciting to have a hand in the continuous development of your GLO. When I meet with the other national officers, there's this excitement about where our organization is heading. Kind of hard to describe, but really cool.

Finally, there's this great resource for fraternity and sorority editors, CFEA (College Fraternity Editors Association). If your GLO does not already belong, look into it! There are regional and national conferences with great workshops, I get email regarding editing info and it's just a great networking tool as well. The members are so friendly and encouraging.

Congrats again, and good luck in your new position!
