Personally I make my own buddy icons. You can also look at
www.ballericon.com (or maybe it's ballericons.com - with an s) ...
You can pretty much make anything your buddy icon if it's small enough. gif's work better. I go to clemson so I try and encorporate a bunch of stuff into my icons. Here are a few that I've made:
