The bcs is wacky though, with Nebraska 2nd at the end of last year and Notre Dame 3rd so far this year, I don't take that poll seriously even though its the one that counts. Miami only got 1 2nd place vote and no 1st place votes out of the 7 computer polls included in the bcs. That should tell you something right there

Reason is their strength of schedule. Notre Dame actually has the best strength of schedule in the BCS and is only .66 points behind Miami. I seriously doubt they'll make it through their season undefeated though.
Miami really only plays 2 tough teams that I can think of right off the top of my head this season... Fla St (which has already lost 2) and Va Tech which looks to be a tough game.
Oklahoma who actually leads #2 by 3 full points has played (already) Alabama, South Fla (which is 5-2 this year, not with a very tough schedule, but their wins are what count to the BCS computers), Texas, Iowa State and still has the Big 12 to make it through. What will ensure Oklahoma gets in over say.. Notre Dame is that they play a 13th game assuming they go to the Big 12 championship.
The road looks tough still for Oklahoma having Colorado, A&M, Tex Tech and Ok State still to play.
Should be an interesting season.
