That sounds really strange. You might want to start to hound Tri-Sigma's National HQ to see whats up.
What I had heard is that the university told Tri-Sigma that they didnt have the resources to establish a successful colony at Indiana University.
That is only a rumor I heard though. This is probably why the sororities that we tend to see at smaller universities arent at IU.
I know that A LOT of girls hopes were up about having a new chapter. I have a friend who is graduating this year who had interest in the colony.
She went through formal rush. Unfortunately she had to leave after 6 party because of a death in the family
Her dad was a big ZBT alumnus at UIUC and she felt like she missed out on Greek Life.
I'm sure that there are countless other stories like this at IU. Having Sigma Sigma Sigma here would have added at least 100 more spots for girls to be greek!
