Okay, I really must explain that, yes, while the Mounties do indeed have cool uniforms, I must stress that the Mounties only wear the red tunic for
special occasions.
(i.e. Remembrance Day [which would be like Veteran's Day for Americans], Canada Day [July 1] and if the Queen or other dignitaries happen to be in town)
99.9999% of the time, they dress like regular garden variety cops, with caps, etc. (not Stetsons).
This is a highway patrol officer (note the absence of red tunic as it is just a regular work day...)
