Wow--good topic. I know that when I was heading for my freshman year of college, I was worried about these very same things. It was so important to me to look not only MY best, but THE best. That got old real quick, let me tell you. I think that a few of the people on this board have encouraged y'all to just be yourself, wear what you have with CLASS and CONFIDENCE. Basically, don't look like a hoe', that's my advice. I happen to love fashion but I also have sisters who cannot afford to buy the latest and greatest, and to be honest--they're totally resourceful and we ALL look great when we go out. It really doesn't matter--espeically if you're in a sorority, you end up borrowing clothes anyway and your Big will help you out if you're fashionably challenged. Good luck to all of you thinking of going Greek! Just remember that there is truly diversity in the Greek system and differences are embraced, whether or not stereotypes support that truth!
