I'm not an AXiD, but since I'm from So Cal, I thought I could jump in an answer anyway. From what I understand, there are AXiD chapters at:
- CSU San Marcos (about 2 hours south of Ventura and just north of San Diego)
- CSU Fresno (about 2 hours north of Ventura)
- CSU Northridge (I think there's an AXiD chapter there; probably less than 1 hour south of Ventura)
