Nuts? I can't stand nuts unless they're boiled peanuts. Almonds are only acceptable if they're in chocolate, hence Hershey kisses.

ahhh i think you've mistaken me for someone else, i'm just some guy....i could be wrong but i always thought your body metabolizes carbs faster than fat, and hence makes it a better source of fuel.

also, here's a quote i took from the Men's Health Hard Body Plan..."saturated fats in animal products contain high amounts of cholesterol and can cause plaque buidup in your arteries. Eat saturated fats sparingly, and opt instead for unsaturated fats from plant foods such as olive oil and peanut butter."

Now, i'm not saying you're wrong and this diet may not work for you or someone else, however with a lot of lifting programs temporary gains may be just that.
