The Sermon

I got a joke today... I am sure that many people have read it via email... However, I am Southern Baptist and my only Uncle is a Southern Baptist Preacher... It takes me alot to laugh at jokes.. but this one had me ROFLMAO!!!!! So.. I share it with ya'll!!

The Sermon

A preacher was winding up his temperance sermon with great fervor, "If I had all the beer in the world, I'd take it and throw it into the river."

And the congregation cried, "Amen!"

"And if I had all the wine in the world, I'd take it and throw it in the river."

And the congregation cried, "Amen!"

"And if I had all the whiskey and demon rum, and moonshine in the world, I'd take it all and throw it in the river."

And the congregation cried, "Hallelujah!"

Sermon completed, the preacher sat down.

The song leader stood very cautiously and announced with a smile, "For our closing song, let us sing Hymn #365: 'Shall We Gather at the River'."
