Since athletic teams are sanctioned by the University, it is MUCH harder for them to dicipline them for hazing. Shooting your own foot, really. At my school, there is a lot of hazing that goes on. The volleyball team shaves their heads. Women's crew carries around large oars to class. I have witnessed to the new men's soccer members be bossed around naked outside my dorm window. I just joined the rugby team and have heard roumors about the beer wagon. But, if Chi O was to do ANY of this, we'd be klicked off campus immediately. I think we take much more responsibility for our actions than normal clubs or teams on campus. Frankly, I'm prund of that, but I think my university should recognize it, and support us because of it. Of course, they don't, and that is unfortunate.
