Hahahahaha. In the dumps, that's where.

The way it's SUPPOSED to work (and hasn't really since greek life's heyday in the 1950's) is this:

* a boy lavileres you to show you're going steady. You can wear the lavilere with his letters on it whenever you want.

*a boy pins you (usually with his pledge pin) or pearls you (gives you a necklace or ring with a pearl on it) as a sort of pre-engagement. It's much more serious, and then you can wear the lavilere, the pin, or his letters.

We don't do pinnings or pearlings anymore -- I don't think most campuses do. I am SUCH a dork -- I would love to be lavilered. It just sounds like such a sweet thing, and something that can only happen during the 4 years you're in college.

There's a thread on this in the greek life forum, I think.

love you girlies!
