bucutie,
I hope you are still reading up on this even though you aren't rushing this semester. I have visited your campus, and stayed with the XOs there and really enjoyed it. I learned quickly, though, that all the women there have a lot of demands. Commuting, working, school and sorority is a lot! But, still great people and I had a lot of fun with the Chi Omegas. It's almost like when there's so much do to, you need the sorority more as an outlet. Balancing all the commitments is quite a challenge though. From my knowledge of the school, you will have no problem based on your grade. UH sororities cannot discriminate based on age because the Greek system is not huge there. Whenever you are ready, they are ready for you!
I also notice you haven't had a chance to talk to the XOs. I really bonded with a few when I visited and it was great. They have a really cute house and a lot of very intelligent members. Especially some of their younger members. I don't know who is their president right now, but with a good leader they could be really great. And I'm sure you've heard this, but during rush, it's like it all works out. I didn't know a thing when I first started rush week, but by the end, I was so sure about Chi Omega. We were a match made in heaven! Good luck, keep your options open and keep in mind that reputations might say SOMETHING about a group, but I have found that when I actually get to know people in that group, they rarely conform to some stereotype people put on them!
