I served on an interview team for a colonization...having a child is unfortunately, a drawback. Not against the child, but just that being a colony member takes a LOT of time and it wouldn't be fair. Established groups already have everything in place, but in colonies everything starts from scratch. Nationals provides the resources so it's not like they are on their own, but the colony members themselves have to work to put everything together - bylaws, calendar, house rules, recruitment plans, and on top of that jump immediately into other greek activities like greek sing or homecoming floats. It's A LOT of work.
