Soror PrettyPoodle95....What's up Sands?! '95 was Goooood Sigma Year! The TORCH will always guide you if you only have the fortitude to follow the flame.

You know what girl, I always tell people "Please don't believe the hype", every Divine 9 sisterhood is worthy. And you know what, we are growing & expanding throughout the world but at our pace and in our time.

I think our *Elite* size in one of our greatest assests....it seperates the women from the girls so to speak. It takes a confident, independent, strong, trailblazing women to be a Sigma. Our size alone helps us weed out all the "fluff" who may only want to join a sorority for the "Resume building" or for the "hype" or for the "glitz & glammour" of sorority life.

I think women know that when they come this way, they will have to work and EARN their respect in my Sisterhood. Not sitting on your rump, riding coat tails, hiding behind the masses of members, or tradition, or history, or what your moma pledged, or your looks, or even what your boyfriend thinks you should pledge.... (Yeah, I went there) So if this is you and what inspires you to pursue a sorority, you need not apply because Sigma does NOT need you!

We want *women of substance* & We expect you to work! We expect you to WALK the TALK, we expect you to KNOW THYSELF and encourage you to grow & be the INDIVIDUAL that only YOU can be. We expect you to discover your own personal Greatness and we will work with you to help you to realize your full potential & enhance it. And we expect you to do this even if you have to do it all by your dammie (all by yourself) The SIGMA LEGACY is RHOyal.......recognize your Greatness & Just BE!

All the while though, we DO NOT TOLERATE:
you changing your character to fit a mold,
developing the "big head" thinking 3 african inspired greek letters just made you God's gift,
putting on airs, acting snotty & snobbish
looking down at other sisters whether they are in your sorority or not,
perpetuating negative stereotypes about our community,
or being TOO GOOD to get down in the trenches if need be to work with those in our community who need us the most, not just the glamorous, highly social events, balls, & galas that stroke YOUR ego.

Sigma...because REAL sisterhood takes REAL work!
