This is exactly where I am, right now! I have bought tickets and attended events. It has been hard because I've had to take it upon myself to meet (by making the first move) members that knew NOTHING ABOUT ME and express my interest and my reasons. However, the silent auctions, other public events, and etc. have been fun I must admit but it's like this: I attend the public functions, I'm more than willing to put my money and time down for the cause, I surf the net religiously, I keep in contact with my contact person. I can only hope I am selected to be called when the time comes. I'm speaking from a grad point of view! .
