*LOL* There is no such thing as a silly question.

I see it this way--if a GC Sorority member chooses to be silent, then it's okay if she chooses to do so. My campus conducts Recruitment/Rush in a totally different way (silent periods are somewhat different than most campuses), but reading about silent periods on GC really helps me understand it better.

I think, for the most part, most of us are aware that we should be considerate of the PNMs especially during this time. However, I believe that we are all good representations of our respective organizations...and this is a positive thing to take with them to the Recruitment events. If anything, choosing the right sorority for them may be difficult because there are so many excellent ones to choose from!

So, instead of keeping silent, I think we should be cautious of what we post (i.e.: XYZ Sorority is the best because we have the best parties!). That's also why I'm against those "What do you think of XYZ?" threads...and "Most Popular on your Campus" because it might give an inaccurate view to PNMs.

Oh well, that's just my 2 cents.
