I've been in your shoes and I know exactly how you're feeling right now.
It's hard to see someone that you care about going through such a terrible time, and it's even more difficult when you don't understand why they do the things that they do. Makes you feel rather helpless, doesn't it?
Please know that I'm thinking about you and your friend and hoping that things turn out alright. Your friend has a long road ahead of her, and she's lucky that she has you.
