Men and women enjoy spectacles! Shows! Las Vegas! Broadway! At my school, we had fashion shows that served no other purpose but for the models to look cute/sexy and for the audience to say "Work it, Miss Thing!" or "Work it, Mr. Thing!"
If people want to translate that to something they have to work harder for (such as sponsorships) and ultimately be rewarded through scholarships, then yay for them.
We all know that there are different ways to earn scholarship money.
And yes, there are pageants for men/boys. Not national ones, but where I am from, they are called Beautillions.
