If EVER in doubt, just smile, nod, and compliment. If that doesn't work, the girl has serious problems, and why would you want to be in a relationship with her anyway? lol
Seriously though, the more time you spend trying to figure women out, the more frustrated you will get. Same goes for women. Stop worrying about it.
