Cool

You know what? I've spent so much time off-topic I never commented on the original thread.

Well, all I have to say is this: I like to see strong black men marry strong black women. It's one of the best sights someone like me can see. BUT I really can't talk about racial mixing because many people that I love and respect are products of a black person with a non-black mate (i.e. my bestfriend and Prince. ) If I don't know the reason someone married outside their race then I can't speak on it. How do we know why they are with that person?? It's not always a case of wanting to change the flavor of their candy (but sometimes it is). Someone spoke about how some black men can get when they come into a bit of money. That's true, but I read in a few magazines that the girl Kobe is marrying was his high school sweetheart.

Plus, isn't he from Cali???? Well then that explains a lot! lol. I know out there it's a common thing. Alot of black men are dating/marrying Latinas. Kobe is one of many.

There are more kinds of interracial couples than black/white. Take my bestfriend: All four of her grandparents are either mixed black people or non-black. Another friend of mine is Guyanese. Her mom is black and her dad is East Indian. In Guyana (not to be confused with the African country Ghana) no one cares. It's too common to be bothered by it.

To the people that say that are against it, is that just for white/black relationships or for any black/non-black, white/non-white and so on and so forth type of thing?
