An Israeli friend of mine put it this way: "I hear on the news in the morning that the PLO bombed a discoteque in Tel Aviv. What do I do that night? I drive into Tel Aviv and meet my friends at a discoteque. If I die, I die. When you stop living, you've let the terrorists win."
AGREED. Not only am I living my life as I would, I dont even think about it. I mourned those who died, and moved on. Its easier for me because fortunately I didnt even know anyone who knew anyone who died int he attacks. I also understand that finally, the us has joined the rest of the world, where this shit happens on a daily basis. The stuff people in the holy land deal with on a daily basis (to me) is akin to what we've had to deal with what, once? (Visit any city in Israel, and their lives are dramitically different than ours.) If we dontt want our world to end up like theirs than wed better begin to re-examine our foregn policy and plan on giving up our gas-guzzling SUV's. We live in a global community folx.
