My kids are gonna have odd names. I'm sorry, but they are. Not too odd, and not stupid, but odd. Old. Probably after goddeses or opera/literary characters. I'm also not above defying the "Found it on this here map" rule. My ancestors are from near Dresden, and I've always thought that it would be a beautiful name for a girl.

I'll most likely name one of my daughers Hera, after a good friend of mine. We thought that Hera the person was incorrectly named because Hera the goddess is a vindictive wench, but it turns out that Hera the person's parents, who happen to be Korean immigrants, chose the Korean words "he," meaning sweetness, and "ra," meaning beauty, for their daughter. And Hera the person is indeed sweet and beautiful.

Oh, and the daugher in Lear is named Regan, not Reagan. There is a difference. The former is German and means rain, and the latter is the name of a president.
