Yesterday as I am leaving work my cell phone rings. It was one of my sorority sisters that I haven't talked to in ages! I'm not really that close with her but I was the only one who stuck up for her after she went inactive a couple of years ago. Anyway, she is now working in Detroit and she wanted to know how far away from Detroit I lived. I live 2 1/2 hours away. She wanted to know if I wanted to meet up with her some place and go shopping. I was kind of surprised to hear from her but I'm glad she called. Does anyone else find this kind of odd?

I can completely relate! I got a phone call not too long ago from one of my sorority sisters who I hadn't seen since my sophomore year when she transferred to another school. Turns out, she ran into one of my little sisters (DZ) -- they're both nurses at the same hospital -- and it made her think about getting in touch with me. I was so excited to hear from her! Unfortunately, we haven't been able to meet up yet because her hospital schedule is so crazy. I'm hoping to see her soon, though!
