MTV is a network that has done LOTS in order to educate young people...reality series aside.
Their political documentaries (esp the ones from the 90s - I used to show them all the time when I taught high school) are phenomenal. Yes, they are very liberal, but these docs were made to get kids (people under 25) interested in political issues.
Guess what? It worked!
And you might be too young to remember, but MTV spearheaded the Rock The Vote - MotorVoter initiative, which really revolutionized voter registration policies all over the country.
