Alexandria, VA used to be part of the District of Columbia. But after the civil war virginia took their part back. I guess it was called Alexandria, D.C. Thats dumb because Alexandria is in Egypt. They have a library. Columbia is the female personifaction of the united states. Her statue is on top of the capitol.
