Writing the Chuck Norris recruitment thread was something I did when I was a young advisor/alum and was home sick from work one week. GreekChat was my lifeline getting advice to help my chapter. But the internet has changed so much since then! The sockpuppets of early-2000s GreekChat were the best, though (thinking of Sheetcake and more).
Sadly, Chuck's passing this spring coincided with my IRL sorority chapter closing this spring. I was proud of my small chapter making it through about 50 years. Almost half the sororities and fraternities that I remember from my active years closed the last few years. Times are changing and students at my alma mater do not want to be in single-sex groups.
