My chapter house had this-as did many of the other sororities on campus at the time. We called them sleeping porches. Ours were located on the 2nd floor-one at the front of the house, the other at the back. It was great to have a place to sleep, dark and quite 24/7 and a separate place to study. Our closets and our desks were located in 3 girl rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floors. Gradually all the FSU sororities did away with sleeping porches.
