Zach, this is exactly why I’ll never marry. Most dudes don’t care what their wife buys, but they can’t even buy one thing for themselves without catching grief for it. It’s the double standard. And here’s the real truth, dudes usually say “I do”and mean “I do”. Women say “I do” and most of the time they mean “I’ll try”. That’s the risk. Statistically, women are the ones who leave, they file most divorces. So a man can give his best, pay every bill, stay faithful, and still get left the minute she decides she’s tired of trying.
