WIFLSRN: I have three jobs already, I’m a veterinarian, a wife, and a mom. That’s three W-2s for my sanity right there. I’m not adding a fourth job called “Entertaining Clients After Hours.”
A client literally tried to invite me to something today, like, “You should come to our little backyard party this weekend!” Sir, I just expressed your cat’s anal glands. That does not make us brunch buddies. My God, they do this to me ALL. THE. TIME. They never do that to any of my coworkers. Just me.
I’m just like if you see me at the grocery store or my favorite coffee shop, please know, I am NOT at work. I’m in my don’t-ask-me-to-sit-and-talk era. Boundaries exist. Mine are color coded, laminated, and come with a polite little smile. Leave me alone, please.
