Technically, the person who isn’t a member of the Greek Orthodox Church or refuses to convert can still marry in the Church, but isn’t allowed to participate in certain sacraments. The couple also has to agree to baptize and raise their children Orthodox. I was raised on Christian principles that baptism is a deeply personal and spiritual decision that should be made by someone who is old enough to understand its significance. God gives us all free will, and accepting Christ and being baptized in the name of The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit is a choice that should come from a willing and understanding heart, not one made for us as an infant.
