So many passages in life. You look ahead with anticipation, you look back with cherished memories. There aren't too many changes that don't share these qualities. It really never ends.
One day I was thinking, "NO MORE DIAPER BAGS" the next day, I'm missing the fragrance of talc and yes, Desitin! LOL!
Now I'm on the brink of full blown empty nest syndrome. I know my husband and I will enjoy more spontaneity in our lives. I'm excited for what the future holds for my children, but there are times (so many lately) when I wish I could hold them in the "green rocking chair" and read to them or tell them a story.
When you can look back and smile, you are indeed lucky. You can carry your memories wherever you go and that gives you strength to openly greet and accept the possibilities that lie ahead.
