In 2019, the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. bestowed a Lifetime Achievement Award upon the Rev. Dr. Jeremiah Wright, the former pastor Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago. He is best known in the wider society as the "controversial" ex-pastor of former President Barack Obama. Like his father, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Sr., he was initiated in Zeta Chapter ("Z-Squad") at Virginia Union University.
I met him when he spoke at my evangelical seminary when I was a student in the early '90s. One of his neophytes from the early '60s told me stories about him. The following link is the presentation of his Lifetime Achievement Award and his response.
