I say no to white shoes, but then again, I wear a size 10, so I don't indulge in white shoes, except when necessary.
I don't wear pure white dresses, pants, blazers, skirts, shorts, and suits past Labor Day. My 74-year-old mother was raised in New York and I learned those traditions from her.
A white shirt or T-shirt, however, is acceptable year-round. As a matter of fact, when I get, err..back to normal...
