JAM, I completely understand about not having access to a list. You know my story from the spring.
IMHO, I don’t think that sororities not meeting quota through formal rush is an issue. The sororities in question have always been able to COB to quota, but most importantly they are all at Chapter Total.
Quota totally depends on the number of girls going trough recruitment. With the excitement surrounding a new chapter, there maybe an increased number of PNMs. Another possibility is that the number of PNMs who drop out may be reduced because the new sorority is their dream house. It is possible that quota for Fall 2003 could be the same as this year.
Even though Tri Sigma has more LA collegiate chapters then Alpha Chi Omega, I don’t think that should matter. What is very important is the commitment of alumnae to the new chapter. Both have alumnae chapters in Baton Rouge and I am sure that more alumnae will pop up when they hear the news.
I am not sure about our Southern Belles but I do know one thing…Princess Margaret will never be a Kappa Kappa Gamma.
