I voted for him. There were a couple of people I knew who spoke like he was the devil incarnate but could never give me a specific reason why.

As a note, I consider myself pretty far left (15-20% of the population more liberal?) and I will say that, IMO, of the Republican nominees for President since I have been able to vote (1986) (Bush Sr, Dole, W, McCain, Romney and Trump), he is the one I think most fondly of.
