Just a few of my observations on "Sorority Life"

-Weren't there something like 14 pledges to the sorority? We only see the six or so living in the house. There don't seem to be problems with the other pledges. The actives don't seem to have had any problems with Jessica or Deedee, and we don't see that much interaction between Jessica and Deedee and Jordan, Candace, Mara, and Amanda.

-We normally only see the actives maybe two minutes an episode. Who knows what activities are actually going on? We certainly don't.

-We don't see any interaction between the in-house/out-of-house pledges. Judging from what we see on the show the pledges in the house don't have anything to do with their pledge sisters. I don't know about everyone else, but my pledge class hung around together all of the time!

-Did we ever see (or hear) Jordan tell an active sister that her grandmother had died? Did anyone else in the house share that with the actives?

-Jordan's mother seemed totally unconcerned about Jordan's problems with the sorority. I think she summed the situation up perfectly with her remark about her always having to have drama in her life.

-Common sense should tell you that it is rude to get up and leave in the middle of an awards presentation. It isn't just disrespectful to your sisters, it's just plain disrespectful.

-MTV is notorious for editing footage out of sequence to make things seem to happen at a time other than when they really happened. A 1/2 hour tv program is usually 22 minutes long. TONS of footage that might give us a better idea of what is really going on is left on the cutting room floor. Well run pledge programs, and sisterhood probably don't make the cut. After all, even on cable, it's all about ratings.

Reality TV? I think not.
