There are "waste lists". Call your local CVS, Walgreens, Duane Reade, your primary care provider, wherever. If someone makes an appointment and is a no-show, they'll call people on the waste lists. The vaccine, once unfrozen, cannot be refrozen, so it's better to get it into someone's arm rather than throw it away. I don't know if they're doing this in New York, but they are doing it in Louisiana ... it's worth a phone call.
