the guys at my school like to have barbecues/cookouts where they call up their favorite guys and everyone eats together at the fraternity house... popular freshmen get invited to these sorts of things two or three times a week (at various houses) during the fall! sometimes girls are invited too... typically freshmen and friends of the brothers... can't hurt
