Yeah...it's true. Originally, we were suppose to have amazing housing on the cliffs overlooking the beach, but the city of La Jolla bought out UCSD for the property to build million dollar condos. But it makes greek life all that more diverse. We get really creative with social events. Besides, our girls all end up living together any way in beach houses and apartment complexes.
SoCal- I pledged just last fall and I love it! You should see Pikes here! The chapter boasts 120 or more brothers now! It's insane. Sigma Chi, SAE and Delta Sig are strong as always. Sigma Kappa has the most UCSD cheerleaders!
Newbie- Don't worry about it. If UCSD is right for you, you will get here eventually. The campus is amazing. It's huge. I walked around my first week here with a map...(can I just tatoo FROSH on my forehead?). It's one of the most beautiful campuses with the most amazing beach sunset views from the dorms. I slacked off as well in my latter days of high school, but I still left with a decent GPA due to AP's and got lucky (taking the SAT's only once) with my scores. But the wonderful thing is that UCSD looks at more than just grades. People here (especially greeks) are well balanced. Have you already applied to colleges? If you haven't...I would be happy to help you with the application process and increase your chances of getting here and increase my chances of seeing you in rush in the years to come! If you'de like..I can e-mail you about UCSD and the 5 campuses. They are all geared toward your major but also...I find that the most social population is at Muir. No offense SoCal! A few of my sisters are at Revelle and they are splendid people!
