I had my Varsity letter in Tennis (Capt of the Girl Squad, hell yeah.) We couldn't recieve more than 1 V-letter of a certain sport, so we we given these gold bars for every 2 years and a gold pin of the symbol of the sport if you were in if you 'lettered' each year.
