Equality is one thing... This is another thing entirely. It's a harmless beauty pageant (scholarship program).. At one time it was the only way that people of color could have a program like this and it is still an important part of their community (at least I gather that from this thread) so what's the big deal?
Has a caucasian or any other race girl ever been told that she couldn't enter this pageant? If they have not tried then why are people even debating this thing? A waste of time and emotion if you asked me.
